My name is Javier and all my students call me Mr. J.  I have loved music from a young age and have grown into a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer. I play piano, guitar, and sing and also have experience in music production.  My background in indie, R&B, soul, and alternative music gives me a well-rounded understanding of both modern and foundational musical styles.

With years of performing and creating music, I understand how meaningful music can be for students. I believe music helps build confidence, creativity, and self-expression. My real-world experience as a working musician allows me to teach practical skills while keeping lessons engaging and relevant.

As a teacher, I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable and supported. I focus on helping each student learn at their own pace, develop strong fundamentals, and most importantly, enjoy making music. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music in every student I teach.
